Gluten-Free Cocoa Crispy Bars PDF Print E-mail
10 oz pkg of marshmallows
11/2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
1 stick and 2 tbsp of butter (2tbsp softened)
1 10.5 oz box of new morning cocoa Rice cereal or any Cocoa gluten free rice cereal*
Take 1 tbsp of softened butter and coat a 13x9 pan. Set aside
Melt 8 tbsp of butter over low heat. Add marshmallows, stir until thoroughly melted. Remove from heat. Add vanilla extract. Right away stir in rice cereal.
Put in the in 13x9 pan. Spread the remaining butter on hands and pat down the mixture or if you prefer use a sheet of wax paper. Sit until slightly hardened.
Stir in ideas:
Chocolate chips or M&M's.
Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the crispy bars for an elegant look
*If you prefer not to use chocolate cereal. Add 3 tbsp of brown sugar and increase the vanilla extract 1 tbsp in the mix for more flavor.
